As it turned out in practice, KNOTT baggage dollies are great at withstanding the harsh airport operating conditions, as well as the rough handling of service personnel. This is mainly due to a fully-welded chassis, high-grade steel, Continental solid rubber wheels and a durable 3-layer powder coating. On the other hand, a ruggedly designed towbar, German quality Jost turntable and a theft-protected Rockinger automatic rear coupling device allow to tow up to seven fully loaded dollies in a train. However, if a dolly damage still should occur, its easy servicing, including a simple replacement of all four walls and the floor will come in handy.
Surprisingly clever solutions
Our dollies are equipped with a parking brake on the front axle, activated by raising the towbar into a vertical position. The towbar is locked in this position automatically and can be released comfortably using a foot pedal. A special plywood used in the trailer technology guarantees a high endurance of the floor and its V-shape serves for an optimal water drainage. A handy system of foldable sidewalls allows for more effective dolly transportation without the need of a subsequent complicated assembly. The intelligent solutions do not end up here though. Quite noteworthy being also the unique system of automatic sidewall latching which saves the precious manipulation time, or a universal tarpaulin basket which can be removed from the transport position under the floor and attached to either end of the dolly completely toolless.

In addition to standard braking by raising the towbar, the brake is - for enhanced security - also activated in the case when unhitched towbar is lowered to the ground by its own weight.
